SHARED AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT PARK FOR THE DISASTER AREA

Following the disaster on February 6, 2023, an agricultural machinery and equipment park was established in Gaziantep’s İslahiye and Nurdağı districts—areas heavily damaged by the earthquake—to support farmers in performing essential agricultural activities such as soil preparation, planting, fertilization, spraying, crop maintenance, and harvesting through mechanization, particularly with tractors and other essential tools.

In 2023, 300 farmers benefited from the equipment park to cultivate 25,260 decares of land.

In 2024, 388 farmers used the equipment park to cultivate 32,680 decares of land.

The agricultural machinery and equipment park was established to meet the needs of earthquake-affected farmers by providing easy access and usability. The project aims to ensure the sustainability of agricultural activities, expand agricultural production, and support the economic recovery of farmers impacted by the earthquake.
