With the grant support received within the scope of the Project "Gaziantep Smart City Roadmap" to be implemented in cooperation with Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GMM) and the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), efforts are made for the project that will scale up the city to higher levels in the Smart Cities network.

     In the grant program carried out jointly by Metropolitan Municipality's IT Department and the Department of Foreign Relations, executives from McKinsey, the project coordinator, completed the roadmap preparation process with the work performed within the body of Metropolitan Municipality and throughout the city.

     Main objectives of technical assistance provided within the scope of the grant are to understand the current Smart City activities in Türkiye and in Gaziantep, to examine resources, IT infrastructure, essential needs and policy priorities of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, to create a citizen-focused Smart City vision of Gaziantep, to identify and prioritize main applications in solution areas, to develop a Smart City roadmap and governance model, to assess technological requirements, to prepare a 5-year financial map and examine the quantitative and qualitative potential impacts, and to identify USA IT companies to collaborate with.
