Alzheimer’s Center – House of Morale Patient Tracking Device

Having been supported by Ministry of Family and Social Services Elderly Support Program (YADES) and implemented by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Alzheimer's Patients and Patient Relatives Meeting Center “HOUSE OF MORALE” was put into service in May 2018.

The aim of “House of Morale”, the meeting center for Alzheimer's patients and their relatives, is to connect people to life, to give them life energy, to ensure that they spend quality time and to delay the stage of the disease with mental rehabilitation activities, to provide caregivers of Alzheimer's patients a little breathing space and to lighten the burden on their shoulders to some extent, to inform patient relatives about care and to bring them together with experts, to increase solidarity among patient relatives, and to provide them with psychological support. Increasing social awareness and knowledge about dementia and Alzheimer's, raising awareness of and informing our people about Alzheimer's disease and care improve the quality of life of individuals and families suffering from this disease.

Smart Tracking Devices purchased under the YADES Project were distributed. A system has been established in the center where patient relatives, after their application and the assessment, can follow the patients in real time on the map with the device given to them. The patient can be monitored over the internet and thus both patients and their relatives can feel safer.
