Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality has brought more than 20 thousand books to thousands of students through the digital archive in order to promote “I read, Gaziantep Reads” (Ben Okuyorum Gaziantep Okuyor) book reading campaign, which was implemented under the coordination of Gaziantep Governorship. In addition, while providing this digital infrastructure, the risk of an epidemic that may occur during book distribution is eliminated.

     More than 20 thousand books have been offered in a digital environment in order to ensure that children acquire the habit of reading books and to encourage children to read more books at home, especially during the pandemic period. With the project, which is similar to the activities carried out by Ministry of Culture, infrastructure of a virtual library where almost all books are digitalized has been prepared.
