DUZBAG DRINKING WATER

     Gaziantep pays 1 billion TL energy cost every year for water supply. When all components of Düzbağ Project are completed, Gaziantep will have a cheaper, higher quality and energy-independent water supply system.

     Düzbağ Drinking Water Project, which is Türkiye’s largest drinking water project after Melen Dam, will meet Gaziantep's drinking water needs in the long term with a budget of 1 billion TL. The section from Göksu Stream to the main reservoir of our city was completed as of August 2019, and snow water of Göksu Stream, which is of spring quality, has begun to be delivered to a large part of our citizens from their taps.

     In this large-scale project, which is the lifeblood of Gaziantep and will meet the city's drinking water needs in the long term, the construction of structures such as Düzbağ Regulator, Düzbağ Loading Pool, Düzbağ Pumping Station, Düzbağ Tunnel, Düzbağ Transmission Line was completed in August 2019 and Gaziantep has reached water of spring quality.
