In line with Intelligent Transportation Systems’ (STS) strategy for ensuring Road and Driving Safety, a total of 97 cameras, a red light violation detection system at 10 intersections and a speed corridor violation detection system at 10 points are available. Thanks to Electronic Inspection System (EDS), which has been in operation since 2015, traffic violations has been reduced, road and driving safety has been ensured and thus traffic accidents have significantly declined. In addition to electronic inspection system (EDS), a mobile EDS system has been introduced, and with PTS (license plate recognition system), traffic disorder due to incorrect parking is prevented by taking into account start and end time of incorrect parking in areas where vehicles are prohibited from parking.
